Audeze has given one of their all-time classics a new style and look. The Audeze LCD-2 closed-back headphones are a longtime favorite among high-end personal audio enthusiasts. They offer more privacy than their open-back siblings, yet still produce Audezes' signature spacious, three-dimensional soundstage. And now the earcups sport a striking marbled design, proudly puncuated by the Audeze logo.   

Intimate listening with wide-open sound

Audeze's famous planar drivers deliver incredible imaging with a great deal of clarity. The open-back version sounds a little more articulate in the highs, but this closed-back model gives you stronger bass and more forward-sounding vocals. Just remember: even with the more convenient closed-back design, you'll still need a headphone amplifier to properly drive these high-performance headphones.

Audeze's planar magnetic technology offers lifelike sound

Audeze planar magnetic headphones are known for accuracy and extended frequency response. Unlike the dynamic drivers found in most headphones, planar magnetic drivers rely on a thin diaphragm with a large surface area to generate sound. The circuit is etched across the entire surface of an ultra-thin diaphragm, which is suspended between two large magnets.

The LCD-2 headphones use a powerful magnetic field, which results in extremely low distortion even at high volume. When the circuit receives an audio signal, it interacts with the magnetic field, thus causing the diaphragm to move back and forth. This results in sound that is incredibly lifelike and spacious — and worthy of fresh listens to all your favorite music.

Audeze makes large over-ear headphones that they know will be worn for long listening sessions. So they meticulously engineered the lightweight nylon headband. It puts less pressure on the sensitive areas around your ears. Over-padded leather-free earcups help further distribute the LCD-2's weight properly.
