Focal's mid-priced bookshelf speakers, evolved

The next generation of Focal's Aria bookshelf speakers — dubbed the Evo X No.1 — present a big, detailed soundstage despite their size. They work well whether you use them as part of an Aria Evo X home theater system or as the pillars of a two-channel stereo music system. Focal gave the Evo X No.1 updated drivers for a more refined sound over the previous iteration. The three high-quality finishes available are just icing on the cake.

Signature Focal sound with updated drivers

These speakers use Focal's innovative inverted "M"-shaped dome tweeter. This aluminum/magnesium TAM tweeter has a wide dispersion pattern and dishes out great sound with accurate imaging. The tweeter's unique shape gives it less moving mass for lightning-quick high-frequency response. The tweeter is seated in a soft urethane plate with a waveguide that helps keep the highs tamed and improves dispersion and directivity even further.

Below the tweeter on each speaker is a 6-1/2" flax mid/bass driver, chosen for its light weight and high rigidity. The drivers are outfitted with a TMD® (Tuned Mass Damper) surround that tightly controls the cones' movement to reduce distortion.
