With the Garmin Approach G20 Solar golf GPS handheld you can leave battery worries behind and concentrate on your game. With over 43,000 preloaded courses at your disposal, you'll know yardages to the back, front, and middle of the green, as well as hazards on each hole. Plus it'll keep you abreast of incoming calls, emails, and texts.

Solar-powered clip-on

The Approach G20 Solar's built-in rechargeable battery delivers up to 180 hours of juice in GPS-only mode with poor solar conditions. On a sunny day, you can count on unlimited power as long as the G20 Solar is exposed to direct sunlight. It's built to withstand the worst outdoor conditions, and its 2.2" diagonal square display gives you easy-to-read info, even in bright sunlight. The built-in clip lets you wear it on your belt, or you can use its integrated magnet to mount it on your golf cart. The G20 also packs a round timer and odometer.

Finger-friendly button operation

The Approach G20 Solar offers convenient buttons for selecting menu items. The Green View display shows you the true shape and layout of the green, even if you're behind it. You can manually reposition the pin to today's location to enhance your shot's accuracy.

Garmin's Golf app offers more

For a thorough statistical analysis, the Golf smartphone app from Garmin keeps track of your performance over time, so you can pull up past games on your phone to see where you need more work and where you're improving. The Golf app covers accuracy to the fairway or green and for drives, approach shots, chip shots and putting, and allows you to set baselines to see how you're faring relative to other players in your group.

Worried about a blustery day? When your G20 is paired with the Golf app, you can see wind speed and direction right on its display. The app can also help you locate your device if you leave it behind by remembering the location where it was last paired with your phone.

Digital scorecard

Paper scorecards are inconvenient and wasteful. The Approach G20 Solar counts your strokes and tracks your personal stats per round for a comprehensive overview of your game, including how far you hit with each club. You can enter your handicap manually or get it automatically from the Garmin Golf app for adjusted scoring if you're competing against others. Most scoring features are also printable from your home computer.

Smart notifications for smartphone users

Don't worry about missing important texts, calls, alerts, and emails on the course. You can pair the Approach G20 Solar with most smartphones via Bluetooth®, then receive notifications directly on its display, so you can leave your phone in your bag.
