Memphis Audio has a strong reputation within the car modding and competition SPL (Sound Pressure Level) community since they opened their doors in 1965. Their MS57V 5"x7" convertible component speaker system makes a robust and flexible addition to any sound system.

Beloved by metal and hip hop heads alike, these M-Series speakers offer the versatility of a convertible component design, reproducing sound with a high level of accuracy whether they're powered by a factory radio or an outboard amplifier.

The flexibility to create the perfect sound

Every car is different, and the shape of the interior affects sound. These versatile speakers give you a choice of mounting coaxial speakers for an easier installation or installing separate woofers and tweeters if you are passionate about creating a big sound stage. You can test out multiple configurations while you're working on the project and find the ideal fit, location, and direction for the tweeters.

1. Do a quick installation with the speakers as coaxials.
   • Rotate the tweeters to point towards your listening position to create the ideal sound stage.
2. Try out a component setup — you'll need the optional convertible kit from Memphis Audio (not included).
   • Separate the tweeters from the woofers and place them on your dash, A-pillar, or any spot that's closer to your ears. You can also tweak the direction of the tweeters with the angled and flat mounts (sold separately).

Add an amplifier

If your next project involves adding an amp, these speakers handle 75 watts RMS and they'll be ready for serious power. The rigid and durable carbon fiber woofer with its rubber surround delivers crisp, clear sound, while the aluminum tweeters add brightness that helps great vocals and guitar riffs punch through road noise.

External crossovers

The clever design of these 5"x7"s includes a slim yet powerful set of passive crossovers that clip behind the speaker when in coaxial mode, and can easily be concealed elsewhere in component mode.

Grilles not included; factory grilles suitable for most applications.
