Big, bright movie nights

The UHD35STx is a perfect way to enjoy immersive movie nights at home, especially if your room doesn't have the depth required for a long throw projector. This short throw model can give you a 100-inch image from just over a yard away from the screen. It offers a 4K UHD picture and support for HDR (High Dynamic Range) so you get lifelike color and detail on screens up to 300 inches. And it produces 3,600 lumens of brightness, so you can enjoy a vivid picture even in rooms with some ambient light.

Gaming on a massive scale

The UHD35STx is a great option for gamers who want to upsize their play area. It has an input response time of 16.9ms for 4K at 60Hz or a lightning fast 4ms for 1080p at 240Hz — great for fast-paced console or PC gaming.

DLP micromirror technology

If you've been to a movie theater in the last twenty years, there's a good chance you've seen a DLP (Digital Light Processing) projector in action. Those professional projectors are massive and expensive, and they feature three DLP imaging chips — one each for the red, green, and blue color primaries.

Most home DLP projectors, including the UHD35STx, use a single DLP chip with a color wheel to reproduce the full color spectrum. The underlying technology sounds like something out of science fiction: DLP chips use millions of tiny mirrors to control the individual pixels that make up the image.

The way it does 4K

To display all the pixels needed for 4K, each frame of video is split horizontally and vertically four ways, and they're displayed very rapidly one after the other, with the pixels shifted diagonally. Your eyes perceive it as a single fluid image containing all of the original detail in the 4K video signal.

Simple setup

The UHD35STx sets up easily on a table, or you can pick up a bracket and ceiling-mount it. Its 4-corner adjustment feature adds flexibility to your installation options.

The projector's built-in speakers can also help facilitate a quick setup. But if you want a little more, use the optical digital audio or minijack audio output to connect to a sound system. It has two HDMI inputs for connecting your high-definition sources.
