Advanced AI autofocus

The ZV-E1 uses human pose estimation technology to accurately recognize, track, and focus on your subjects in real time. It can recognize body and head position to focus on people whose faces are hidden. This technology also recognizes animals — helpful for filming pets and wildlife in action.

Easy to stream

Connect the ZV-E1 to a computer or mobile device via USB or HDMI, and you can show up in your next video conference or live stream on services like YouTube and Twitch in crystal-clear 4K video.

Built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi let you connect wirelessly to transfer footage and share it online. 

Capture clear soundtrack audio

An intelligent directional mic automatically chooses between its three built-in capsules. It's also got a helpful windscreen that cuts down on noise when you're shooting outdoors to capture clear, detailed audio. Or you can use an external mic — like the Sony ECM-G1 (sold separately) — that's compatible with the ZV-E1's multi-interface shoe.

Easy-to-use creative production toolbox

This camera has several features that make it easy to achieve polished results with some menu selections. Its Cinematic Vlog Settings give you a few different ways to make your footage look like a feature film, including 24 fps frame rate, S-Cinetone skin toning, and widescreen aspect ratio — like you see at the movies.

Soft Skin Effect smooths out your subject's complexion and sharpens up the eyes and mouth. When you really want your subject to pop, press the Bokeh switch and voila — beautiful full-frame background defocus. Or you can use Product Showcase for a smooth, automatic focus transition between your subject's face and what they hold up to the camera. That means if you're filming yourself reviewing, say, a pocketknife or a portable speaker, it will focus on your face until you present the product to the camera for an up-close look.

The camera's especially cool AI-based Auto Framing mode automatically crops the frame to keep your subject — even yourself — centered in the shot. So, you can set the ZV-E1 on a tripod for a conversation with your audience and when you take several steps in any direction, it'll look like an experienced camera operator is filming you.
