Bluesound PULSE M

Expansive sound from a compact, streaming speaker

The versatile, compact PULSE M from Bluesound is a great standalone streaming speaker. Its eye-catching elliptical cabinet sports the company's new Omni-Hybrid™ driver design with an upward-firing woofer and two tweeters offset at 45 degrees to deliver super-wide audio dispersion. That means you can place it on a bedside table or kitchen counter and get rich, room-filling sound from almost any listening angle.

Works alone, but plays well with others

Looking for true stereo separation in a bigger space? Use two PULSE Ms together and pair them up in stereo. You can even add the PULSE SUB+ — it'll not only give you more bass, but also allow the PULSE M's amp to work more efficiently for clearer mids and highs. You can even use a pair as wireless rear surrounds with a Bluesound sound bar for immersive home theater.

Flexible streaming options

You'll connect this speaker to your home network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, then set it up and control it with the free BluOS app. That gives you natively integrated access to 20+ music services, plus thousands of internet radio stations. Play your favorite songs on compatible speakers and streamers in multiple rooms around your home, with as many as 64 independent BluOS zones.

The app also lets you group speakers together, so the same song plays everywhere at once. Or choose different music for each room, all from the same app. In addition to app control, you can use AirPlay 2 or aptX® HD Bluetooth to stream to the speaker. It will also show up in your player list if you're using Roon (subscription required).

Add sources and 'phones

This speaker has a USB-A port for connecting a music-filled thumb drive and a 3.5mm dual analog/digital input for connecting a phone or other source with an aux cable. For discreet, detailed listening, you can use the dedicated headphone jack. Or, since it's got two-way Bluetooth, you can listen using compatible Bluetooth headphones.

Elegant, versatile design

The PULSE M's compact elliptical design with its wraparound fabric grille looks nice and unassuming and sounds great wherever you place it. You can also mount it on your wall with the optional WM230 wall bracket, or place it on an FS230 floor stand (both sold separately).

You'll probably mostly use your smartphone, tablet, or computer to control the PULSE M. But it's also got a sleek glass top panel with proximity-sensing touch controls, including five quick-touch presets.
