Seventh-generation three-way towers from Monitor Audio

If you want to get the most out of your movies and music, this impressive speaker is up to the task. The Silver 300 7G uses a three-way design to dish out articulate, immersive sound. It's part of Monitor Audio's popular Silver Series, now in its seventh generation. Compared to previous versions, Silver 7G models offer improved drivers, new stabilizing outrigger feet, and an improved crossover network.

New driver technology for better performance

The Silver 300 7G sports a 1" tweeter that uses Monitor's iconic gold dome Ceramic-Coated Aluminum Magnesium (C-CAM) material. But this latest version has a new waveguide designed to eliminate as much distortion as possible. The company also revamped the tweeter's magnet for tighter control of the driver, resulting in more detail across its frequency range.

The twin 6" woofers and a single 3" midrange driver use an improved C-CAM cone material featuring Monitor's latest Rigid Surface Technology (RST II) for tighter mid and bass response and better dynamics. There's also an improved crossover system that helps the woofers, midrange, and tweeter work together better to provide a smooth, non-fatiguing response. That means clearer vocals, more realistic-sounding instruments, and sound you can enjoy for hours on end.

A sturdy, eye-catching cabinet

Having owned some of Monitor's speakers myself over the years, I can attest that they're sturdy as can be. The Silver 300 7G uses thick MDF (medium-density fiberboard) both to make the speakers more durable and to resist vibrations that are notorious for muddying sound and decreasing sonic accuracy. The finish is eye-catchingly beautiful, and the included magnetic grille is stylish. The speaker looks great with or without the grille attached.

New molded outrigger and feet for extra stability

The updated outrigger and feet on the bottom of the speaker are a nice touch. They keep it stable and less prone to tipping over, as well as minimizing contact with your floor. Spikes for carpeted floors and rubber pads for hardwood floors are included.
